The short answer
WallStyle Installers serves Gladeview for wallpaper installation, removal, murals and wall repair. Since it is about 20 miles from our base, we plan each project in clear steps and group rooms into as few visits as possible.
Gladeview is one of the farther stops on our route, about 20 miles northeast of our Miami base in Miami-Dade County. Because of that distance, we treat each Gladeview project as something to plan carefully up front, so the day of installation goes smoothly and nothing has to wait for a return trip. This page walks through how a typical project runs, from the first message to the final trimmed seam, and what you can do to help it go well.
Step 1: Tell us what you have in mind
Start by sending photos of the walls, rough measurements and the product you are considering, if you have one. Let us know if there is existing wallpaper, any visible damage or a deadline we should work toward. If you are torn between options, describe the room and how it gets used, and we will suggest a direction.
This first exchange saves time later. It tells us which tools, primers and adhesives to bring, and whether the job needs one visit or two.
Good photos make a real difference. Take one straight-on shot of each wall, one close-up of any cracks, stains or peeling corners, and one of the ceiling line where the wall meets it. If old paper is already lifting, a close photo of the edge shows us how many layers might be underneath. Mention whether the home is concrete block or frame, if you know, since that affects how we check exterior walls for moisture.
Step 2: Measure and confirm the material
Wallpaper is sold by the roll, and the right quantity depends on wall height, pattern repeat and the number of doors and windows. Ordering too little can mean a second batch with a slightly different shade. We measure, account for the repeat and tell you how many rolls to buy, with a reasonable allowance for trimming.
This is also when we talk about the type of covering. For kitchens and bathrooms, Vinyl Wallcovering Installation handles moisture. For a feature wall, Accent Wall Installation or Mural Installation makes the biggest statement. Grasscloth Wallpaper Installation adds texture to living spaces, and Peel and Stick Wallpaper Installation suits renters or anyone who expects to change things up soon.
Step 3: Remove, repair and prime
Older homes in this part of the county may have walls with several layers of history: paint over paper, patches over cracks, and texture applied to hide earlier repairs. Wallpaper Removal and Wall Preparation and Repair are where we deal with all of it.
- Old paper and borders stripped and the paste washed off
- Holes, cracks and dents filled and sanded flat
- Soft or water-damaged drywall cut out and replaced
- Moisture checked on exterior concrete-block walls
- A primer applied that suits the new covering
Step 4: Hang, trim and clean up
Once the wall is ready, we plot the layout so the pattern is centered where your eye lands first and the last seam falls in a less visible corner. Each strip is booked, hung, smoothed and rolled at the seam, then trimmed at the ceiling and baseboard. Ceiling Wallpaper Installation follows the same process overhead, with extra hands and staging to keep the long strips under control.
At the end we reinstall outlet covers, wipe adhesive from trim, gather offcuts and leave the room ready to use. We will mention how long to wait before pushing furniture back against the wall.
Step 5: Let it settle in the South Florida air
Adhesive cures best at a steady indoor temperature. During the humid months from May through October, keep the AC running normally and doors closed for a few days after installation. If the area is under a hurricane watch at any point between June 1 and November 30, we may suggest shifting the date; there is no reason to hang new paper right before a storm.
We also serve Miami Springs, Hialeah, West Miami, Doral and Medley, which helps when we are planning a trip north. Businesses in and near Gladeview can ask about Commercial Wallcovering Installation for offices, community spaces and shops that need a tough, cleanable wall.
