Mural Wallpaper Installed in Hialeah

The short answer

WallStyle Installers installs printed wall murals in Hialeah, matching each panel to the image rather than the wall edge. We review your sizing before you order, prep and prime the wall and schedule around humid-season weather.

A photo mural or illustrated scene can make a small room feel bigger, give a playroom a theme or turn a dining wall into the first thing guests talk about. Getting it right is mostly about alignment. Each panel carries a slice of one picture, and the slices must meet perfectly across uneven walls. WallStyle Installers hangs wall murals across Hialeah, about 19 miles from our Miami shop, including homes and condos in ZIP codes 33010, 33012, 33013 and 33016. Here is how we take a mural from a box of numbered panels to a seamless image.

Rooms Where Murals Work Well

Murals are most effective on a wall with few interruptions, where the image can be seen from across the room. In compact Hialeah homes and condos, a scene with depth, such as a forest path or a coastline, can visually push a wall back. In children's rooms, maps, animals and storybook art are popular, and a home gym often gets a bold graphic or a mountain view.

Sizing: The Step That Decides Everything

Murals are usually printed to order, which means the dimensions you send are final. We suggest measuring at several points across the wall, using the largest width and height and adding the bleed the manufacturer recommends. If you have not ordered yet, we can measure for you.

We also look at how the design will interact with your wall. Will a door frame cut through someone's face in a photo? Will the thermostat sit in the middle of the sky? Shifting the crop on the printer's website before ordering fixes those issues for free.

From Box to Wall

When the mural arrives, leave it sealed and flat in an air-conditioned room until we come. On install day we unroll every panel, confirm the sequence and look for printing defects. A plumb line is set for the first panel, and from there each one is lined up by eye and by touch to the image on its neighbor.

We trim excess at the ceiling and floor only after the whole image is up, because a room that is slightly out of square will otherwise push the picture off level. Seams are rolled down gently and any adhesive on the face is cleaned off right away.

Choosing the Right Mural Material

The material matters as much as the image. Nonwoven murals hung with paste on the wall are stable, easy to align and come off in whole panels later. Vinyl-coated options are good for rooms where hands touch the wall. Self-adhesive murals are quick and renter-friendly but grip less reliably on textured surfaces and in damp rooms.

We will recommend a material based on the room, the wall surface and how long you plan to keep the mural.

Finish is worth a thought too. Matte prints hide minor wall flaws and avoid glare from windows and overhead lights, which helps in bright Florida rooms. Satin or slightly glossy finishes make colors pop and wipe clean more easily, but they show every dent in the wall beneath. If your wall has a few imperfections we cannot fully smooth out, matte is usually the safer pick. Ask the printer for a small sample of the material before you order the full mural, and we can look at it against your wall during the visit.

Heat, Humidity and Storm Season

The rainy season from May to October keeps outdoor air thick and sticky, and indoor air follows whenever doors stay open. For murals, steady AC before and after install day helps adhesive cure evenly across the large surface. Exterior concrete walls get a moisture check before we hang anything on them.

Hurricane season lasts from June 1 to November 30. If a storm is on the way, we can reschedule so your mural is not left curing in a closed, unpowered house.

What to expect

How a visit goes

  1. Honest assessment

If a wall is too damp, too textured or a poor match for the paper you picked, we say so and suggest a fix or an alternative before work begins.

  2. Careful layout

We measure, check pattern repeats and plan where each strip lands so the finished room looks balanced from the doorway.

  3. Clean, respectful work

Floors and furniture are covered, fixtures are removed and replaced, and paste and trimmings are cleaned up before we go.

FAQ

Common questions

Don’t see your question? Call (561) 933-9440 and we’ll talk it through.

Do I order the mural or do you?

Most homeowners order directly from a mural company. We can check your measurements and design before you place the order.

What if a panel is misprinted?

We inspect every panel before hanging. If one is damaged or misprinted, contact the seller for a replacement before we start.

Can a mural go on a textured wall?

Heavy texture will show through. We can skim coat the wall first or recommend a thicker material.

Do self-adhesive murals hold in Florida?

On smooth, primed drywall in an air-conditioned room, usually yes. They struggle on texture and in rooms that get damp.

Can I take the mural with me when I move?

Murals cannot be reused once hung, but nonwoven and peel-and-stick types come off the wall cleanly.

Ready to plan your walls?
